Gardaí seize €300,000 worth of cannabis in organised crime crackdown

GARDAÍ SEIZED CANNABIS herb worth and estimated €300,000 yesterday in Dublin and Kildare, as part of a crackdown on gangland crime.

Gardaí seized a large amount of cannabis when they stopped and searched a car in Kilcock, Co Kildare yesterday afternoon.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is currently being held at Leixlip Garda Station.

During a follow up search more cannabis was discovered at a house in the north inner city in Dublin.

A woman in her 40s was arrested and is being held at Store Street Garda Station.

The seizure is part of an ongoing operation into targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin and Kildare regions.

It was carried out by gardaí from Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau supported by the Special Crime Task Force.
